About the Krewe

About the Krewe:
The Hernando de Soto Historical Society brings together a remarkable collection of committed Conquistadors (volunteers) who represent a diverse cross-section of the community.

More than 20 committees contribute hundreds of hours toward planning and producing events, many of which have received regional and national recognition.

Funds raised through the Society’s efforts are distributed back into the community through the Conquistador Historical Foundation to organizations that facilitate activities in keeping with the mission of our organizations.
Charities we support:
Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County, Feeding Empty Little Tummies, Kids Against Hunger, Beds For Kids, The Vision Foundation
